There are less than 8 weeks until Christmas!

Employers who plan to close their business over the Christmas period should consider whether they are required to give notice of a temporary shutdown period to employees. This also applies if an employer’s client will be shutdown resulting in employees not being required to work during the closure period.

The time to give such notice is prescribed in Awards.
